On Saturday, November 21, (Tyler's birthday) we drove out to Downtown Dallas. We parked our car and rode our bikes to the Grassy Knoll to meet up with all of the other Tweed Riders.
After a short wait, we started off down Ross Street. Tyler and Ida met up with us and we were off. We rode all the way up Ross until St. Paul. We went down St. Paul a ways and then turned down Main Street. It was so awesome because at every stop light, there were designated riders that would stop traffic so that our entire group could make it through the light. This was my first group bike ride, so everything was quite new to me. We headed across the Trinity with a great view of Reunion Tower. Then, we headed into Oak Cliff.
We rode down Bishop and took some residential roads until we arrived at The Turner House. Once we got there, we realized we were separated from Tyler and Paul. Dave and Ida went back to get them, Paul was having some bike issues, which he got fixed. Once they got back we enjoyed festivities at The Turner House. They had Shiner Beer, (tasted so great after the ride) Cucumber Sandwich Toss, Tug-o-War, an accordion player, Beer Balancing, Ring Toss and so much more. We took a tour of the house, which was beautiful. We all posed for a group photo. It was so much fun!
The trees were so pretty! I was in Heaven!!!

Once it got dark, we all rode to Hunky's Hamburgers. It was so damn good! I loved their onion rings! By the time we were all stuffed, it was time to head back. We followed Ida and Tyler to their house and Tyler drove us to the DART station with our bikes in the back of the truck. We rode the DART back to our car and headed back home. I was so sore once we got there, but it was all so worth it. I can't wait until next year!
